Seasoned Southerners is a small, locally owned senior move management company serving eastern North Carolina, the Triangle, and the Triad. We know that letting someone into your home and into your family's decisions takes trust. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it.
WHAT WE COLLECT
Almost everything we know about you, you told us. When you fill out the contact form on this site, we ask for your first and last name, your email address, the zip code you are moving from, the zip code you are moving to, the number of rooms involved, and your preferred moving date. Your phone number is optional. We use that information to understand your move and to get back to you.
If you comment on or like one of our blog posts, our website platform creates a small member account for you so that it can show your name next to your comment.
Like nearly every website, this one also collects a small amount of technical information automatically. Our website platform, Wix, sets a few cookies that are necessary for the site to function: they keep the site secure, help pages load quickly, and remember your session. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or any other tracking tools on this site.
HOW WE USE IT
We use what you give us to answer you, to plan and carry out the work you hire us to do, and to keep our own records of the jobs we have completed. That is all. We do not build advertising profiles, and we will not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to other companies for their own marketing. If that ever changes, we will update this page before it changes, not after.
WHO ELSE SEES IT
A few service providers necessarily handle your information so that we can operate. This website and its contact form are hosted by Wix, and your submission is stored in our account there and emailed to us. When we carry out a move, we may share only the details that are needed with the people helping on that job, such as a moving crew or a consignment or donation partner. We will also share information if the law requires it.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We keep client records for as long as we need them for our own business and tax purposes. If you contacted us but never became a client, you are welcome to ask us to delete your inquiry.
YOUR CHOICES
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at SeasonedSoutherners@gmail.com and we will take care of it. There is no form to fill out and no charge.
SECURITY
We take reasonable care with the information you give us, but no website can promise perfect security. Please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, bank account details, or medical records through the contact form or by email. If we ever need something like that, we will arrange a safer way to handle it.
CHILDREN
This website is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page.
